FOW's product offerings were fragmented, with duplicated data, buried insights, and poor navigation. Users struggled to find key data points quickly, and valuable content went overlooked. A unified, structured platform was needed to better serve real scenarios and surface FOW's complete offering in both data and insights.

The platform was redesigned to highlight FOW’s data and insights through a unified, accessible interface. Interviewing Stakeholders and Users revealed the desire for a manageable stand-alone solution to a powerful, yet fragmented existing product suite, one where users could efficiently gather insights from an abundance of data. Web analytics supported the hypothesis, highlighting poor usage and navigation issues across the existing platforms. In addition, competitor analysis improved our understanding and raised awareness of trends in the trading industry

Frustrated by the dense and unclear structure of data, users felt the platform didn’t always lend itself to real use cases. Card sorting workshops were carried out to organise and reduce data points, streamlining the content. User journeys developed with fintech industry professionals influenced the new information architecture, assuring alignment with real workflows. Interactive data tools were designed to enhance engagement and reduce cognitive load.

Wireframe prototypes were created and validated with users prior to working closely with development for smooth delivery. Unifying multiple products into a single platform required exploration into visual direction, how the platform interface should look and feel while retaining brand consistency. A Design System created visual cohesion across touchpoints while meeting WCAG and EU accessibility standards, giving the platform a fresh and standardised feel.
